Raymond H. Heffington and a partner started the company in 1978 providing  Real Estate services.  Then in 1981 Ray Heffington decided to branch out on his own forming Heffington and Associates. 

Raymond earned his State Certified General Appraiser license in 1990 which provided an avenue for additional business.

Heffington and Associates has grown over the past 40+ years. It is a well-known family business in Volusia County, Florida.

Today Ray continues to handle the daily operations of the business and does residential appraisal work. The business staff includes;  Lonna Heffington who provides real estate marketing and appraisal services in the Deland area,  and Todd Heffington provides real estate marketing and commercial Appraisal services. Todd Heffington holds the MAI designation with the Appraisal Institute. In addition, we have a staff of 5, realtor/appraisers and an office manager. 

Heffington is one of the few real estate companies that survived the economic down turn which impacted the real estate market from 2008 until 2012. 

Our current memberships include the National Association of Realtors, The Daytona Beach, West Volusia County and New Smyrna Beach Board of Realtors and the Appraisal Institute.
